Graham Crackers

I have been trying to think of a healthy way to do holiday baking this year. Without the large gatherings, cooking massive amounts of cookies is probably not the best choice. These homemade and I dare say binge-worthy graham crackers are just the thing. Follow the additional notes in the video. Definitely use cinnamon and Sugar. Happy Holidays! 

 
 

Homemade Graham Crackers 

·      1/2 cup butter 

·      2/3 cup sugar white or brown 

·      2 tsp vanilla 

·      1 cup all-purpose flour 

·      2 cups whole wheat flour 

·      1 tsp baking powder 

·      1/2 tsp baking soda 

·      1/4 tsp salt 

·      1/2 cup milk 

1.     In an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugar and vanilla. 

2.     In a separate bowl combine flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3.     Gradually add flour mixture and milk alternating ending with flour. 

4.     Chill dough for 1 hour. 

5.     Roll out. 

6.     Score with knife and prick with fork. 

7.     Bake on parchment for 10 to 12 min at 350 degrees. 

8.     Toppings are optional.
